The Aquarium itself is housed on Norwalk's historic waterfront, which has traditionally been home to oyester and fishing companies and numerous succesful hat, stocking and brassiere factories. The building has been upgraded many times, but it still retains some of that turn of the century (19th to 20th) factory charm. There’s always something happening in Norwalk. Continually changing exhibits and activities at our aquarium and museums are complemented by signature annual events including the SoNo Arts Festival, Oyster Festival and the In-Water Boat Show.
