From the New River Gorge Visitor Center, it's about a 1.5 mile drive to one of the two paring lots (Fern Creek or Nuttalburg). We stopped at the Nuttalburg parking lot and enjoyed a wooded hike toward the gorge.Nice 4 mile loop when you walk 0.5 miles along the road as we did.
